Extension in a Conservation Area

Our client wished to extend her stone built cottage in a conservation area in North East Derbyshire. A two-storey side extension created a new dining room with a master bedroom above. A new first floor shower room was formed to remove the inconvenience of a ground floor bathroom.

Stone was sourced locally to blend in with the existing stonework, and the detailing of the roof and new dormer complemented the original features of the house, to the satisfaction of the conservation officer.
